Bio:

Dr. Bass became interested in neonatal neurology during his pediatric residency and chose a neonatology fellowship at St. Louis Children’s Hospital that allowed him to pursue research in brain injury of the newborn.

While practicing neonatology, he has continued basic and clinical research in specific types of brain injury and their prevention.

Clinical Interests:

  • Prevention of brain injury with therapeutic hypothermia
  • Treatment of hydrocephalus
  • Prevention of intraventricular hemorrhage
