Maria Winn, FNP

Bio:

Winn was raised in Hampton and has lived in Chesapeake for over 20 years. She spent nearly two decades as a nurse practitioner helping patients with sleep disorders at Eastern Virginia Medical School and has now brought her experience in sleep medicine to CHKD.

She has also taught as a preceptor in EVMS’s sleep disorders center.

Prior to concentrating on sleep medicine, Winn was a cardiovascular nurse practitioner, as well as a nurse practitioner in infectious diseases. She began her medical career as a medical telemetry staff nurse.

When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, cats, gardening, and cooking.
