Bio:

Dr. Watson comes to Hampton Roads to pursue a lifelong academic career in pediatric hematology oncology, and draws her greatest inspiration from working closely with her patients and families. Her clinical interests are supportive care, general oncology, hematology, leukemia, Langerhans cell histiocytosis, and vascular anomalies. Dr. Watson arrived at CHKD after spending the previous six at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, where she was a clinical fellow in pediatric hematology and oncology. During her time there she became interested in health literacy and excellence in health communication, completing a masters in public health at Vanderbilt to further her expertise in health services research. She also graduated Suma Cum Laude from Clemson University.
